Clauson, Patty - pclauson@stmarys-wbl.org

Mrs. Clauson began teaching at St. Mary of the Lake school in 1977 after graduating from the College of St. Benedict in St. Joseph, with a major in elementary education and a minor in German. She taught kindergarten and physical education the first two years at St. Mary’s, and then taught kindergarten for many years. She also holds a master of arts in education from
St. Mary’s University in Winona.

Mrs. Clauson loves teaching 5 and 6 year old children! They are refreshingly honest and can be very entertaining and funny. She especially enjoys teaching language arts, math, art and music.
Mrs. Clauson loves having the opportunity to teach in a Catholic Christian environment where the children are encouraged to pray and learn about God and Jesus. She believes St. Mary’s is very blessed to have wonderful families and students!

Mrs. Clauson lives in Hugo with her husband and son. They like to travel and have been to many of the states, as well as to Europe and Mexico. She enjoys reading, bicycle riding, walking, watching movies, listening to music and being with family and friends.

Ms. Sierminski began teaching at St. Mary of the Lake School in 2010. Before teaching kindergarten, she helped teach reading and math for grades K-2. She received her education from the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities, earning a Bachelor's of Science in elementary education, with a middle school specialty in social studies. She holds current teaching certificates in general education grades K-6, as well as social studies grades 5-8.

She loves the community of St. Mary of the Lake and feels grateful to be teaching here. She enjoys working with young students- they match her excitement for life and she has a lot of fun with them. She strives to bring out the best in her students by showing them how much they can accomplish and by helping them learn what it means to be a good person.

Ms. Sierminski lives in Roseville and loves biking and running with her friends. She also enjoys reading, good theater, and good Italian food.
