Welcome from Principal Pat Gallivan
He said to them: “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these” … Then He took the children into his arms and placed his hands on their heads and blessed them.
-Mark 10: 14, 16
I feel very blessed with the opportunity to join the St. Mary of the Lake community. Just as Jesus welcomed the children in the above scripture verse, I have been welcomed here. As partners, we can accomplish great things with the help and guidance of Jesus Christ, the primary teacher of the Catholic faith.
St. Mary of the Lake School offers me an opportunity to serve our families and continue the strong tradition of Catholic education in White Bear Lake. The families, faculty and staff work together to help our children grow in knowledge and faith. It is our duty to demand great things from our children because they are capable of meeting the challenge. More importantly, we are called by our vocation as parents and those who work with children to make the name of Jesus Christ, the Master Teacher, known to our children. All schools are expected to help children learn the basic skills to function in our democratic society. We, on the other hand, are called to fulfill that duty while helping our children become saints worthy of the promises of Christ.
I invite you to learn more about St. Mary of the Lake School through our website and in person. We welcome your family to come tour our school and see first-hand why this community is an ideal learning, faith-enriching environment for your children.
