Reconciliation (also known as Penance or Confession) is one of the Sacraments of Healing. When a person has failed to live up to the ideals of Christian faith and practice in imitation of Jesus, how does one get "back on track"? The sacrament of Confession/ Penance/Reconciliation is the place or experience. God is love and God's love is never more fully realized than in the experience of being forgiven for whatever causes pain and suffering.
