Ministry of Presence
Are you interested in serving parishioners who are unable to attend Mass regularly or caregivers who need a respite from their ongoing care duties? We are in need of volunteers to bring the Blessed Sacrament, prayers and fellowship to the homebound, residents of local senior apartments and care centers and patients at St. John’s Hospital.
We’re also in need of volunteers to serve as one-on-one “companions for the day” at The Gathering, a weekly respite program for caregivers to those with early to mid-term memory loss.
If these opportunities interest you or you’d like to learn more, contact Casey Green at 651.429.7771 or cjgreen@stmarys-wbl.org.
Help Needed On Church Grounds
Thank you to all who have been helping at the church! Now, we specifically need people to help with the rain garden, which is on the south side of the church parking lot. Please contact Greg at 612-490-1964 or gmortenson@stmarys-wbl.org.
Welcome the Little Ones
Looking for summer volunteers. Are you a parent who enjoys using our program? Or are you an adult who enjoys caring for little children? IF you have your Archdiocesan “Essential Three” completed or are willing to spend a few hours to complete the training, our Welcoming the Little Ones nursery program needs you! This program meets at both the 9:00 and 11:00 AM Masses on the second and fourth Sundays during the summer. This program is for children ages 1 to 5 and no registration necessary. Adult and youth (ages 11+) are needed as volunteers. Contact our coordinator, Lizbeth Castro-Torres with any questions or to volunteer at childrensministries@stmarys-wbl.org.
