I was ordained a deacon on December 9, 2023. A transplant from the south, I left my home near Fort Worth, Texas to serve as a missionary for the National Evangelization Teams (NET) based here in Minnesota. After one year with NET (1985-1986), I remained in Saint Paul and entered into formation with the Companions of Christ, a priestly fraternity within the Archdiocese of Saint Paul & Minneapolis. After five years discerning with the Companions, I began courting my wife Leila and married in 1992. We have six children: four daughters and two sons. I have two career paths as a master carpenter and a systems administrator. Still doing carpentry on the side, I switched over to full-time technology in 2010. I have many years of ministry with youth, young adults, married couples, and the elderly. I began my assignment as deacon at Saint Mary’s on July 1, 2024.
