Cemetery

St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery has served the parish and the White Bear Lake community since 1893. The grounds cover 11 acres of land, half of which has been recently developed to meet our needs for the next 100 years. The cemetery is located on Stillwater Street in White Bear Township.

The custom of visiting the cemetery and praying for our dead can be traced to the women who returned to Jesus’ tomb that first Easter morning, only to discover He had been raised from the dead. Our cemetery visits today continue to be prompted by our love and faith. We come to remember, to mourn, to give thanks for the life our beloved shared with us, to pray for peaceful rest in death, and to strengthen our belief that one day we will be reunited in eternal life.

Part of our parish mission is to be of faithful service to all families who entrust their beloved to the good earth of our cemetery. To fulfill that mission, we work to maintain the cemetery in a neat, presentable, and respectful manner consistent with the traditions of Christian burial.

Cemetery grounds are generally open seven days a week during daylight hours for the convenience of any who wish to visit. For inquiries regarding the location of a specific burial, please complete the online form below.
