St. Mary’s parishioners can access a variety of Lenten resources through social media. Following is a recap of the resources that have been recommended to us:
Would you like a deeper, more powerful Lent this year? Then sign up for Bishop Robert Barron’s free daily Lent reflections at LentReflections.com or by texting LENT to 22828. Each day, from Ash Wednesday (February 10) until Easter Sunday (March 27), the creator and host of the CATHOLICISM film series will send you a short reflection, straight to your inbox.
There are a variety of Catholic Lent apps available for both iPhone and Android users. Please note that not all of these apps are free, but the cost for each will be included in the information about the app. A complete list of apps available and description of the app’s content can be found at https://catholicapptitude.org/lenten-apps/.
Matthew Kelly, author of The Four Signs of a Dynamic Catholic, also provides daily reflections delivered via email. Like Bishop Robert Barron’s reflections, these start on Ash Wednesday and are delivered through Easter. You can sign up to receive the emails at http://dynamiccatholic.com/bestlentever/.
