Hello! My name is Nathan Schuster, and I recently was promoted to Manager of Mission here at St. Mary’s (effective July 1, 2024). I have been on staff here since October of 2022. I graduated from the University of St. Thomas in 2014 with a double major in Philosophy and Catholic Studies, along with a minor in Theology. I am also completing studies this summer (2024) for my master’s degree in Catechesis and Evangelization through Franciscan University. My primary responsibilities here at St. Mary’s are to welcome new parishioners, to coordinate small groups, volunteer opportunities, and retreats, to serve as the staff liaison for several committees (JPOC, Haiti, Welcome Team, Synod Evangelization Team), and to manage the Mission Team. The other members of our Mission Team are Michelle Boris (Coordinator of High School & Young Adult Ministries), Kathleen Finn (Coordinator of Senior & Pastoral Ministries), and Joanne Kost (Coordinator of Outreach). My hobbies include reading, enjoying the great MN outdoors with family or friends, watching MN professional and college sports, and playing board games or cribbage.
